Ever since I can remember I've always had a love for stories of all kinds. It seems like since the day I learned to read I've always had a book with me and I've been reading like crazy ever since. When I was probably no older than six I remember someone asking me if I was going to be an author when I grew up because I loved to read so much. It was an obvious no to me. I couldn't be a writer! My handwriting was terrible and my spelling was even worse. (Yes, I was thinking this at age six ...) But as I grew older and learned more and improved my spelling and handwriting as well as learned to use a computer, I decided it wasn't a bad idea and started to write little stories.
That was the beginning. I never told anyone about this at the time because I was too embarrassed to admit that I did want to write after going most of my life saying that I would never write. Then when I was about twelve or thirteen I had to write a paper for a Shakespeare class and mentor really inspired me and helped me to see that I had something to offer through my writing.
The rest is basically history. After that I couldn't stop writing. I took lots of classes on creative writing and improved lots, and still am. I also met my husband in the most influential of all those writing classes. He taught me lot's and still does everyday.
My dream is to inspire and teach all kinds of people through my writing. To bring them closer to Christ and to help them discover who they are. I want people to fight the Dragon, Status Quo, and Know, Master and Be themselves.
So why do I write?

That's simple! I write because I LOVE it! To me that is why you should do something. Because you love it, because it makes you happy. If you don't love what you are doing for life...you need to find a life you love! :)
When I write I don't do it just because I love it. No, there is more to it than that. When I write, I want to be inspiring. I want to inspire anyone who reads my writings to be a better person because they stopped and took a minute to read. When I write I want to honor my Father in Heaven and bear testimony of Christ, even if I don't come right out and say it.
I have been given a talent to express my thoughts, feelings, desires, and opinions in words. I work very hard everyday to make that talent grow. Sometimes it is very, very painful. But I know if I keep at it...the world will be a better place because of me and my words.
